What is the Summer Bridge Program at CPCC?

The Summer Bridge Program is an excellent opportunity for graduating high school seniors to kickstart their college journey and gain an early advantage in their academic pursuits. Held over a six-week period from June 17 to July 26, 2024, at various campuses including

This program offers a structured environment for transitioning from high school to college. Participants can enroll and earn up to seven college credit hours for FREE, contributing to their permanent transcript and initiating their college GPA.

The program aims to increase self-confidence, foster community through engaging activities, and provide insights into college expectations. Eligibility requires a graduating high school senior with a GPA of 1.7 or higher, and priority is given to those in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area planning to attend Central Piedmont in the fall.

Applications are accepted until June 3, 2024, with a holistic review process. Admitted students must fulfill program requirements, including attendance at a welcome session, active communication through their Central Piedmont email, and commitment to class participation. The program covers tuition, books, and fees, offering an inclusive opportunity for a head start on college success.
