From Coach McDougal-March 6, 2026
I have a little information to get out to you as we prepare for the summer.
First, we will be going to the Western Colorado University Full Contact Camp this summer. The dates are July 16-18. The cost of the camp is $210/player. We will provide transportation there and back. This is a great camp and a chance for coaches to see players and how they have progressed through the summer as we get ready to enter the fall season. The camp is for all seniors, juniors and sophomores (our varsity/jv for the upcoming season). We will provide more information on the camp, but right now one thing I ask is if you could take 10 seconds and fill out the form below so we can get accurate numbers on who is going so I can turn that in to Western. If our numbers are off, we end up having to pay for the extra spots through the booster club and I'd really like to use that money in a better way.
Second, I've attached our tentative summer schedule. We will be adding 1-2 evening 7 v 7 dates. I am working with two teams right now to find dates that work. The dates that we are giving the players time off are highlighted in green. Please try to schedule any vacations during those times. If players are going to camps or have other major commitments we can work with them individually. If they are involved in other sports in the summer, we support them in that and we can work with their schedules as long as they communicate early. It is important that every player makes as many workouts as possible so they can get the workouts done and also learn what we are doing. We will be installing all of our schemes in the summer (especially offensively this year) and if a player misses, they will fall behind with the install and have to catch up.

We will be having a spring parent meeting soon. I am trying to find a date that we can get in the auditorium. As soon as I get that date, I will send it out. Please try to have a parent present for that. We go through a lot of information and hopefully it answers a lot of questions.
Finally, I want to wish all of our spring athletes the best of luck this season! We have players involved in baseball, lacrosse, track, rugby, and other activities. If you have a chance to get out, watch and support other programs try to do that. I love watching our players represent our program and school in other activities!
Thanks,
Coach McDougal
