Will graduate from an accredited high school with a standard diploma.
Have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.75 or higher. Students with a cumulative GPA below 2.75 are required to provide a personal statement or a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or their counselor.
Complete the following courses upon high school graduation with a minimum of C- or Pass grade: four years in English, three years in math (including algebra II or higher), three years in science, three years in social science and two years in the same second language.
Submission of ACT or SAT scores is optional for freshman applicants. Students with a cumulative GPA below 2.75 are encouraged, but not required, to provide ACT or SAT scores as part of the admission review process.

Oregon State University has a holistic admissions process which looks at the following items for each of our applicants, with the goal of identifying and admitting students who have the skills, abilities, and drive to succeed at OSU:

When making an admission decision we consider the following criteria:

Senior-year course load
Motivation as demonstrated in the application essay
Extracurricular activities including community service and the need to work to assist your family
Ability to enhance the diversity of the university

Extracurricular activities will not compensate for low grades or weak course schedules. We offer tentative admission based on your sixth or seventh semester transcripts and your planned senior schedule. Final admission is granted only after we have received transcripts verifying successful completion of all admission requirements and your graduation.
Students from accredited public or private high schools will be reviewed for admission as first year student applicants, including students who have earned college credit while in high school (e.g. Running Start). Transfer students who have completed less than 30 transferable quarter credits (20 semester credits) at the point of application will be reviewed as a first year student applicant.
Graduate from high school and meet the following cumulative unweighted grade point average (GPA) requirements:
2.5 or higher = automatic admission if college prep coursework requirement met
2.49 or lower (or coursework requirement not met) = further admission review
Complete 15 units* of college preparatory coursework with grades of C- or better in the following areas:
English: 4 units
Math: coursework culminating in at least the completion of Algebra II
Science: 3 units (one year of lab science is recommended) effective 2012
Social Studies: 3 units
Second Language: 2 units of the same language*
*Oregon high school graduates only (Oregon residents who earn a GED are not held to the second language requirement.)
Optional: Take the SAT or ACT and have scores sent directly to Portland State University

Minimum GPA of 2.50 in completed college coursework
If you have not completed college credits, an official copy of your high school diploma or GED will be required for admission. If time has elapsed since your high school graduation, please plan on providing us with a brief personal statement. Contact your admission counselor for additional information.
The RN to BSN major requires a minimum of a 2.75 overall GPA. Students who are below the major GPA requirement will be admitted as pre-RN to BSN and work with an academic advisor to raise their GPA before starting their first nursing course.
Warner Pacific Requirements:
We require you to submit official transcripts from all the schools you’ve attended; however, Transfer students (who have earned 12 or more credits since high school graduation) will not need to submit a high school transcript.
Warner Pacific’s minimum high school GPA for Admission is 2.5.
Warner Pacific’s minimum Transfer GPA for Admission is 2.0.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic standards are still encouraged to apply, and may be required to submit additional materials for review by the Admissions Review Committee.
Some applicants may be asked to submit writing samples or personal references, or to participate in an Admissions interview.
