The Torch Awards Program is an opportunity for BPA members to further their professionalism and leadership skills. There are 7 different categories that students may choose from. Those consist of, leadership, service, cooperation, knowledge, friendship, love, hope, faith, and patriotism. Each category has activities in them ranging from 5 to 20 points each.

Once a student has filled out their résumé, it may be submitted for review. If a student qualifies, they will be recognized for their efforts.

There are 3 levels of recognition.

• Diplomat Torch Award: This award requires 30 points in each category. It is presented at regionals.
• Statesman Torch Award: This award requires 50 points in each category. It is presented at state.
• Ambassador Torch Award: This award requires 70 points in each category. It is presented at nationals.
