The origin of the Ghost Tigers began in our first year. It began in First Lego League, and some members were recruited for First Tech Challenge. As people joined, we began to become a team. We chose the name Ghost Tigers to represent Kaukauna and Chilton, and we named our robot Husky1 after the mascot of the New Holstein schools.
We focus on taking pixels, the plastic game pieces, and pushing them towards the back of the playing field to score points. Later in the season, we developed and 3D printed a bucket to pick up pixels and place them on the board. In the endgame, we would hang our robot from a bar in the center of the field to score points.Â
We use a unique process to approach changes carefully and efficiently. Brainstorming, Initial Design, Building, Testing, Refining, and Documenting and Sharing. These steps help us be the best we can be.
The Ghost Tigers participated in a total of 2 competitions and 1 scrimmage in the 23-24 season. We attended the FTC Rookie Rumble Scrimmage at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Kern Center, where we won 3rd place. Our first competition was the WI Lakeshore Qualifying Tournament in Valders, where we placed 6th. Our second and final competition of the season was the WI Neo-Titan Games in Brookfield, where we placed 4th, and won a Judge's Choice Award!
