Our grandfather, may he rest in peace, died. Rummaging through his estate,
we came across an old British empire map. From the 1930’s.
The map was an area map of the grounds upon which our grandfather settled.
A remote region in the old land. Measuring approx. 788 hectares.
At the time the Brits were clamoring to fortify their positions.
That remote region was to be a bastion. Brits took careful notes, mentioning fresh water springs, settlements old and new, and dolmens. Proper surveying.
The region, about 700 hectares, is abound with dolmens.
In the old map, the region where our grandfather chose to settle,
is referred to as “ Dolmens valley “.
We aim to map all known 17 dolmens, spreading across 1 mile with a varying altitude of 88 meters. The location starts at 202m above sea level.
We aim to: map dolmen's location, their orientation to celestial bodies and their relation to other old sites in the region, such as GhostWheel.
Call to action, to all interested parties.
