Analyzing available spectra of CP stars (HD99563 and HD210684) to derive their radial velocity, mean longitudinal magnetic field and stellar rotation. Development of proper workflows for Least Square Deconvolution and Mean Longitudinal Magnetic Field Analysis.
Derive effective temperature and Vsin(i) for the selected CP stars by fitting their Balmer line profiles in the spectra provided by ESPaDOnS at the CFHT telescope.
Creating Magnetic Field Variability plots with Phase of Star for improving value of stellar rotation.
Magstar (Arjun Ghosh): A GUI based Least Square Deconvolution and Mean Longitudinal Magnetic Field Analysis Tool based on modules: LSDpy and SpecpolFlow (reference links below) - Created by me
LSDpy (Colin Folsom): Perform Least Squares Deconvolution on stellar spectra
SpecpolFlow (Colin Folsom): Tools and background information to help with the analysis of stellar spectropolarimetric data. The goal is to develop a collection of smaller tools and larger tutorials.
Period04: Period04 is a computer program especially dedicated to the periodic analysis of large astronomical time series containing gaps
Lomb Scargle Periodograms: The Lomb-Scargle periodogram is designed to detect periodic signals in unevenly spaced observations
Study of the mean longitudinal magnetic field in roAp star HD99563: Poster at Research Day 2023, University de Moncton. Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. This work involved detecting mean longitudinal magnetic field in star HD99563 by use of Least Square Deconvolution.
Journal Paper expected soon.
