And our dog Max too.
We will leave at 11 am and have a wee wander before home

"Excellent cabin, beautifully furnished, top quality appliances and luxury bedding. You would be hard pushed to get any better views or any better value for money. Thankyou both for a lovely few days stay."

I've been taking my Mum on wee holiday's twice a year for a number of years and this is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed. The photos don't do it justice! Beautiful accommodation tastefully furnished with quality products. Extremely comfortable & cosy. The log burner with the wood provided was a bonus. The floor to ceiling windows in the lounge/kitchen let in loads of light & the views out to sea were fantastic! Sitting on the terrace watching the ferries come & go was good fun too. A lovely welcome box included tea, coffee pods, sugar, milk, bread & biscuits! With other additions such as salt, pepper, oil etc. A lot of thought & consideration has clearly gone into making this very well equipped cabin a pleasurable & stress free stay for people. Lovely hosts. Thank you.

Ghillies Croft Cabin was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. It has absolutely everything that you might need from electric blankets to nail files. We found everything was so well thought out and catered for all home comforts were available and in brilliant condition.
We came to the cabin for three nights as a couple with our two Labradors. The cabin was lovely and spacious and has a porch perfect for drying the dogs after a long walk so the living space remained clean. The panoramic views onto the beach and harbour were fantastic and we enjoyed watching the boats coming in even in the rain!
The location is five minutes walk from Rothsay town, this was lovely to stroll into with the dogs and we enjoyed going to the Bute yard and the deli for breakfast! The Cabin was great for the dogs and the dog friendly atmosphere of the island. A perfect quiet getaway with plenty of choice of how to spend our time.
Venturing further from the cabin, our favourite place was the short drive to Scalpsie bay where we spotted some seals. We also enjoyed a walk around the grounds of Mount Stuart, which even in the rain was beautiful. The perfect end to the day warming up from the wood fine in the cabin!
The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and gave plenty of advice on the best local spots and walks. We will definitelybe coming back!
