Guardian Homes

The benefits of being a guardian home is that the family gets a well-bred, healthy, show quality Standard Poodle puppy or adult at a reduced cost. Other benefits is free grooming and boarding to local homes that bring their puppy back to me for maintenance and care until the time of their spay or neuter. We pay for all breeding related expenses including health testing. Guardian families are responsible for veterinary, food, and all other pet related expenses. If the dog passes their health testing and we wish to use them in our program, we will utilize them for 1-3 litters, or collect semen before the dog is neutered. Males must remain intact until 8 years of age. Puppies will need to be maintained in a show cut and returned for weekends to attend dog shows. Males will be returned when we use them in our program. Females will also be returned for breeding and whelping for approximately 8-10 weeks, but guardian families are welcome to visit their dog and her puppies anytime. When the decision is made to spay or neuter, Ghibli Poodles pays for the cost of procedure and all ownership and papers are transferred to their families.

For homes interested in showing in conformation or performance events with one of our keeper puppies, we can discuss co-own options and details. If you would like to be considered as a guardian or co-own home for one of our dogs/puppies, please email me for an application . Guardian homes within 50 miles are preferred. Preference to families within 100 miles for co-ownership. You will need to fill out a contract prior to placement. If we do not have a dog/puppy available at said time, you can be placed on a Guardian Home Wait List. Thank you for your interest!
