Service Rules
Every returning member must do at least 10 hours of music-related service and 2 service events PER SEMESTER. If you have perfect attendance at club meetings for any given semester, that counts for one hour. In other words, you will only need to complete 9 hours for that semester if you attend all meetings.
All new members only need to complete 10 hours of music-related service and 2 service events FOR THE WHOLE YEAR.
A maximum of 2 hours will be allowed to roll over from the first semester to the second semester. Hours cannot roll over from the school year before the current one. Every member is required to engage in at least two service events (see below) per semester.
Probation Rules
If members complete between only 5 to 9 hours of music-related service in the semester or less than 2 service events, they will be on probation. Once on probation, members will have to make up these missing hours and service events along with the requirement of 10 hours and 2 service events per semester in the next semester. Additionally, members will have to complete an additional one service event in the following semester.
(Ex. Semester 1: 7 hrs with 1 service event, then member will be put on probation, Semester 2: 13hrs with 4 service events, member will be removed off probation)
A member can only be put on probation once, the second time a member is put on probation they will instead be removed from the club.
Club Removal
If members complete less than 5 hours per semester OR 0 service events per semester OR have more than 2 meeting absences, they will be removed from the club. The second time a member is put on probation they will be instead be removed from the club. Once a member is removed from the club they may not reapply the following year.
