My research interests lie in economic development, with a focus on the roles of regional integration and global trade as development strategies. Using macroeconomic, international, and comparative approaches, I examine these topics in Latin America and the Caribbean. My work specifically investigates the economics of regional integration, convergence among developing nations, and the effects of trade openness on development, competitiveness, and export survival.
