GHCTA Schooling Show Points Guidelines

Temporary Guidelines for GHCTA Points for 2021

With our growing number of venues and opportunities for Eventing and Arena Derbies GHCTA is restructuring their schooling show points system to encourage our members to take advantage of these new venues and also to use them as a means to educate horse and rider to reach for the ultimate goal of riding in a full horse trial.

To qualify for end of the year awards a horse and rider combination must:

  1. Horse and Rider must be members of GHCTA before the beginning of a competition in order to receive points.

  2. Horse and Rider combination must compete in the same division twice to qualify for points.

Note that the points have been restructured to recognize and weight the different types of competitions. Any class that has less than 5 starters will only receive ½ points. A starter is considered a horse and rider who enters the dressage arena. They may not be riding Hors Concours to count as a starter.
