Hi, I’m Ghania Shuaib, a PhD candidate in Economics specializing in causal inference, and human behavior analysis using regression and machine learning techniques in applied microeconomics.
I’ve applied models such as LASSO, Ridge, Random Forests and Quasi-experimental design techniques such as Difference-in-Differences to real-world problems—from analyzing racial disparities in product demand during the Flint Water Crisis to studying how household bargaining power impact long-term child health outcomes.
My passion lies in translating messy, real-world datasets into actionable insights that guide decision making through modelling behavioral patterns in individuals.
