I was trained as a physicist, and got my PhD in biophysics from SISSA in Trieste, Italy with Alessandro Laio. I am currently a Reseach Assistant Professor at Chemistry Department and Beckman Institute at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I collaborate with Martin Gruebele and Emad Tajkhorshid. My full CV can be found here.
I use theory and computational modeling to understand (infinitesimally better!) biological processes. My current research interests are focused on, Multi-scale Modeling of Viral infection and Kinetics and Thermodynamics of Protein-RNA Complexes.
