I am an energy economics and finance researcher and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Energy Regulation, IIT Kanpur. My research lies at the intersection of energy markets, finance, and public policy, focusing on electricity market design, contractual mechanisms, regulatory economics, and energy infrastructure investment. I examine how market-based approaches and financial instruments can improve risk allocation, strengthen investment incentives, and enhance the economic viability of evolving energy systems.
My research spans electricity derivatives, power purchase agreements, renewable energy, green hydrogen, and climate policy. I use economic modelling, game theory, and quantitative methods to develop analytical insights into energy market challenges and inform policy and regulatory decisions.
My research lies at the intersection of energy economics, finance, and public policy, focusing on electricity markets, contractual design, investment decisions, and risk management in evolving energy systems.

Energy Economics & Electricity Markets: Market design, competition, pricing, and regulatory economics.
Energy Finance & Risk Management: Electricity derivatives, price hedging, and financial risk allocation.
Contract Design & Market Mechanisms: Power purchase agreements, contracts for difference, take-or-pay contracts, and revenue-sharing models.
Climate & Sustainable Finance: Renewable energy and green hydrogen investment, financing mechanisms, and investment incentives.
Energy Policy & Regulation: Regulatory frameworks, policy evaluation, and energy market reforms.
My teaching interests span energy economics and finance, electricity markets, energy policy and regulation, and quantitative methods. Through PMRF Teaching Assistantships and teaching assignments across university, eMasters, and executive programs, I have contributed to undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional education.
