Nikki Lavergne is currently the Administrative Assistant for the newly opening LPLTC Virtual School in Livingston, LA as well as a Google Certified Educator, Trainer, and Innovator. Before this year, she was the Instructional Technology Facilitator and STEAM Express Director for Livingston Parish Public Schools. Nikki has her secondary education bachelors from Louisiana State University and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. She taught English/Language Arts, Journalism, and Speech and was Varsity Cheer Coach for 11.5 years at Doyle High School in Livingston Parish. Nikki loves providing professional development to help engage students, differentiate instruction, and ease the lives of families utilizing technology.
Bonnie Chelette is an Instructional Technology Facilitator for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System in Louisiana. She is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, Trainer, & Coach, Google Educator Group Leader (GEG South Louisiana), co-founder of Global GEG, and leader of Global GEG's #ECOpen Chat. In addition, Bonnie is also an EdChange Global Leader and is passionate about supporting technology integration in schools. She shares her support and passion for coaching by bringing coaches together on a global scale.
Karla is currently the ELL teacher at Freshwater Elementary as well as an ELL Itinerant with the ELEC office. Karla is bilingual with Spanish as her first language. She has also worked with many different schools in the district including central office providing translation for meetings for our Spanish speaking families. Karla loves to help her students and their families having been an ESL student herself she finds passion in helping her students excel and reach their academic goals. She will also begin to pursue a career in education to better serve ELL students and their families.

Heather White is currently a Instructional Technology Facilitator Livingston Parish Public Schools as well as a Google Certified Educator and Trainer and ISTE Certified Educator. She is also a Wakelet Ambassador, a Seesaw Ambassador, ISTE member, and active member of LaCUE. Heather has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Teaching Certification for grades 1-8 from Louisiana State University and a Master of Education in Educational Technology Leadership from the University of Louisiana. She has been a public school teacher for 20 years and has taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades. One of Heather’s greatest joys is working with and presenting to others about using technology to enhance and enrich instruction.
Patti hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Nicholls State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Southeastern Louisiana University. In the last 14 years she has taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade and is currently a 2nd grade Special Education teacher in St. Charles Parish.
Kristin Robair is currently a District Literacy Coach for East Baton Rouge Parish Schools as well as a Google Certified Educator. Kristin has her bachelors in English Education and Mass Communication from Southeastern LA University, her master’s degree in Public Administration from Southern University A&M College. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Louisiana State University. She taught English/Language Arts, LA History, Business ELA, English II, & Speech over the past 10 years at Broadmoor Middle and Broadmoor High School in East Baton Rouge Parish. She was formally a District Instructional Specialist as she loves to mentor and provide support to others with curriculum and instruction. Kristin loves providing professional development to help engage students, implement culturally relevant material, assist teachers with effective instructional strategies with diverse learners, and find simple ways to integrate technology in classrooms and at home.
Alfonso Mendoza Jr., is an Instructional Technologist, Podcaster and Google Innovator from the Rio Grande Valley located in the heart of South Texas. He attended the University of Texas-Pan American and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration in 2003. He later found his true calling and passion in 2006 when he became a teacher. Alfonso taught in the classroom for 11 years where his business skills such as customer service, personalized service, and knowing your audience paid off in dividends as he became a successful classroom teacher.
During this time his passion for technology grew and experienced firsthand the amazing work that students can do if given the opportunity to create. Alfonso's class was even featured by Scratch MIT for the work he did with coding.
Alfonso serves as an Instructional Technologist and has received his Masters in Educational Technology, E-Learning Certification, Technology Leadership Certification from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, along with his Technology Director Certificate from TCEA. He is currently working on his doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology. He is also 1 of less than 3000 Google Innovators worldwide and was named 1 out of the top 50 EdTech Influencers on Augmented Reality K-12 worth a follow.
Alfonso is also a podcaster and blogger and loves to share his story and passion for education with others.
Jarrod Hegwood, Licensed Professional Counselor, is currently serving as the clinical director of the ELBA Counseling center in Walker, Louisiana. He also serves as an adjunct professor of psychology in a local prison’s undergraduate program. Jarrod earned his Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from William Carey College. Later, he earned his Master's of Divinity in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, before becoming an LPC. Over the last 25 years Jarrod has worked with adolescents in a number of capacities including camp staff, student minister, actor, group therapist, individual therapist, Youth Challenge mentor, and Volunteers in Public Schools mentor. In the last two decades he has served on multiple church staffs as well as working with parachurch organizations like Student Life and Young Life. Jarrod was recently asked to participate in Odyssey Impact project, Healing the Healers, which is a multimedia video resource collection showcasing intimate peer-to-peer conversations with exceptional faith leaders on issues of crisis and trauma. Jarrod will be featured in the upcoming series focusing on adolescent mental health. It is scheduled to be released this fall.
Brianne Loupe is a 7th and 8th grade science teacher and track coach at North Corbin Junior High in Livingston Parish. She is a Google Certified Educator, a Science Content Leader, and is a member of her school’s technology committee. Brianne has a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. She has been teaching for 11 years, and has taught social studies and Fine Arts, in addition to science, in two different parishes. Brianne’s main goal is simply to help make using technology a little bit easier for teachers, students, and their families.
Stacy Jemison is currently serving as Principal Designee at French Settlement Elementary, a Livingston Parish Public School. Stacy earned a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences at Southeastern Louisiana University, and later completed the Alternate Certification program there in Elementary Education. She earned a master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University and completed the Educational Leader path through the Louisiana Department of Education to add on an Educational Leader certification to her credentials. Stacy taught in the elementary classroom for 12 years, instructed at the university level for 4 years, and served as instructional coach on both the school and district levels prior to moving into her current position. She is a Google Certified Educator and has utilized her skills to lead teachers into the blended learning environments her school provides for students. Stacy enjoys supporting teachers as they move and work outside their comfort zones, providing new opportunities to utilize technology, and working with families during these ever-changing days.
Amanda Robinson is currently a 5th grade math and science teacher at Doyle Elementary in Livingston Parish. Amanda has her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of New Orleans. She has been at Doyle Elementary for 13 years and is also a Google Certified Educator. Amanda loves using technology to engage her students and provide meaningful differentiated instruction, as well as incorporating STEAM into her lessons. Additionally, she enjoys providing training for her colleagues on technology integration.
Jessica Wagner is currently an AP Computer Science Principles, Cyber Society, and English II teacher at Walker High School in Livingston Parish. Jessica earned a bachelor's degree in Communications at Southeastern Louisiana University and later completed the Alternative Certification program through LRCE. Jessica began teaching in 2012 and has taught K-12th graders in different capacities during her career. She has a lifelong passion for learning and assisting others. She is a Google Certified Educator and has utilized her skills in her own classroom, as well as sharing her knowledge with her fellow educators through training and one-on-one lessons.
Michelle Lewis has been an elementary teacher for thirteen years. Mrs. Lewis is a firm believer that all students are deserving of an education that both equips and empowers them. She has tirelessly worked to shift inequitable systems by advocating and leveraging resources across economic, educational, business, and governmental systems to increase outcomes for students. She has partnered with national, state and local organizations to provide environmental science education, secured over $50,000 in professional development STEM funds, and even founded a community coalition. Additionally, Lewis cultivates spaces for teachers to share knowledge and collectively enhance efficacy through professional development in her work as a Co-Leader of the South Louisiana Google for Education Group in conjunction with Global Google Educators Group. Lewis has presented at Louisiana organizations like LaCue, as well as, the Louisiana Teacher Leader Summit. She has also presented at international educator conferences like Ed Change Global on the value of rigor, relevance, and the rate of return on best practices, as well as Social Emotional Learning. Mrs. Lewis currently serves Louisiana as a Louisiana Department of Education Teacher Leader Advisor, a 2021 LEAD fellow with Stand For Children, a 2021 NASA Louisiana Liftoff Space Grant Ambassador, and a Lemelson M.I.T. Excite Award Recipient.
