ABOUT

ABOUT GLOBALGIRL MEDIA-CHICAGO

GGM-Chicago seeks to address the issues of the gendered digital divide and an ongoing lack of adequate diverse representation in media and journalism by supplying the equipment, education and support necessary to help young women fro across Chicago in becoming multimedia storytellers. By brining their own unique perspectives to the global web and social media realms. GGM-Chicago invests in girls to use their voices and become their own agents of change through the training, guidance and support necessary. Global Girl Media's international network firmly believes that working with young women around the world to find and share their authentic voices is an investment in our global future.

ABOUT THIS WORK

This book is a culmination of work by participating teens from our Summer and Fall 2020 seasons. It displays each teen’s independent project (writing, video or audio) as well as their group projects. All were done remotely and with COVID-19 health restrictions in mind.
