Our Kindergarten

In a safe and happy learning environment, the Kindergarten program instills in children the qualities of curiosity, exploration, and discovery. An individualized approach helps nurture and allow for the development of social skills and instills in children strong moral values. The emphasis is on developing students' self-confidence and ability to effectively communicate in English as well as with their Indian mothers in situations, which teachers achieve through effective language use and by encouraging children to express themselves freely.

A balance of circular and theme-based instruction helps young minds integrate their learning smoothly. The emphasis is on exploring, knowing, understanding and forming their own ideas. The principles of learning applied in kindergarten include development and learning (aesthetics and creative expression, language and literacy, numeracy, Self and social awareness), integrated learning; active learning; support supportive learning; interactive learning; and learning through play. The curriculum prepares children for a smooth transition to a more formal primary curriculum.

The kindergarten program makes use of a range of individual and group activities that create a lively and positive learning environment. Students are encouraged to develop their conditional skills in literacy and numeracy through games, arts and crafts, creative projects, story-telling, role-playing, drawing, and painting.
