America's Best Dance Crew, often abbreviated as ABDC, is an American competitive dance reality television series that features both national and international dance crews. The show was produced by singer, record producer, and former American Idol judge Randy Jackson.[1] The series premiered on February 7, 2008, on MTV. America's Best Dance Crew is a competitive reality show where dance crews showcase their talent and compete for a $100,000 (USD) grand prize and the golden ABDC trophy (a figure of a b-boy doing a freeze, with its legs moving like a bobblehead). Each week, the crews are given a challenge. The challenges are different for each crew, but have the same general concept or share a specific theme. To begin each episode, host Mario Lopez reveals, in no particular order, which crews are safe and which crews are at risk for elimination. After the crews in the bottom perform their routines, the judges decide which crew will advance to the next round.

Another unique aspect of ABDC is the crew banner. Each banner's logo represents its respective crew, appearing during interviews, performances, and on various merchandise. All dancers will be admitted to any game they are performing free of charge. There is no cost for choreography, rehearsal, studio time, and game prep. We occasionally offer Master Classes throughout the summer at a discounted cost. Master Classes are encouraged, but not required.

Q: What is the commitment of a USPBL Dancer? A: Each dancer can choose their level of commitment to the USPBL Dance Crew based on their summer availability. Professional level dancers may be required to work a minimum number of games throughout the summer to maintain their placement with the UDC Crew.

Revolve aims to support different charities and nonprofits in need, selecting a cause each semester to donate their proceeds to. Dat Dance Crew is a hip hop club on campus that choreographs and perfects dances to bring to showcases at the end of the semester. DDC brings dancers the opportunities to build their dancing skills, choreograph and teach dances, as well as create friendships with the rest of the team. DDC provides a comfortable environment for its members to express themselves through dance and bond through their growing love for dance.

Movement Revolution Dance Crew (MRDC) is a non-profit hip hop dance crew and performing arts collective. MRDC creates dance, produces an annual concert, teaches youth programs, and providing enrichment through community engagement.

These programs provides training for dancers who want to learn about the history, culture, and technique of Hip Hop and street dance. We offer weekly classes as well as a week-long summer camp. Movement Revolution Dance Crew (MRDC) was founded in 2010 by Chicago native Monternez Rezell. As Artistic Director Monte takes street dance to another level by integrating the street culture into concert dance; all while paying tribute to the founders and originators of the hip hop culture. MRDC performs several styles of street dance seen in hip hop culture including breaking, popping, locking, waving, and litefeet as well as other club dances and social dances.

Entropy Dance Crew is a student organization at Appalachian State University that brings together different individuals with a shared passion for dance. By creating a welcoming environment focused on both personal and collective growth, Entropy helps members of all backgrounds and experience levels express themselves through the art form of dance. Entropy is actively involved in the campus and local communities, hosting open classes and participating in a variety of service activities.

This spring, the group had 54 active members and choreographed 29 pieces in the hour and half long show. This included 12 main pieces, 14 transitions, one piece starring only new dancers, one senior piece and one group piece.

Borrowing from the theme of the show, many pieces incorporated complex foot-work, and a couple of pieces featured dance battles. The cross-cultural exchange of music and dance styles was a testament to the tight-knit community that they built when Evo was created.

The Officials are a group of dedicated dancers ages 7-18 who are passionate about dance, growth and culture. They have a desire to perform and compete in hip-hop based competitions across the country.
