The conference centre “Paul-Langevin”, operated by the CNRS, is located in the French Alps village of Aussois. This mountain resort lies within the Vanoise National Park, on a broad, sunny plateau at an altitude of 1,500 meters, near the Italian border and close to the Fréjus Tunnel connecting Savoie (France) and Piedmont (Italy).
The participants will be accommodated at the CNRS Centre Paul Langevin, where all meals will be served. The scientific sessions will take place in the centre’s conference hall which has a seating capacity of 200, it is equipped with high-standard technical infrastructure, and provides a high level of comfort, allowing for the efficient management of all aspects of the conference program.
How to reach Aussois:
By train. The Center is 9 km away from the Modane high-speed-train (TGV) railway station. Connections are available both on the SNCF connect website (TGVs between Paris and Turin Porta Susa/Milan Porta Garibaldi stop in Modane) and Trenitalia.
Bus transfers will be set up to reach the congress site from Modane railway station on June, Sunday 22nd and Thursday 26th. The time and place will be communicated in due course.
By car. The Center is about 11 km away from the Frejus tunnel motorway connecting Torino and Albertville/Chambery/Grenoble. Follow your GPS or Google maps to make a route from your current location to the Centre Paul Langevin, Aussois. Once at the Centre, you can park your car anywhere in the free parking lot in front of the Paul Langevin Center.
By taxi. There is a taxi service in front of the Modane Railway station (Tel. +(33) ....). Cost of a ride from downtown Modane to Aussois is about 15-20€. Common taxis can be organized if participants arrive at the same hours.
