“The role of the teacher is to create the conditions for invention.” – Seymour Papert

In September 2017, I attended my first Google Summit and I was inspired by the possibilities that technology offered for creating new conditions for invention in my classroom. I experimented, made mistakes, and had a lot of fun with my class of intrepid Year 2 students who embraced exploring Canada through a Google Expedition; creating a non-chronological report on dinosaurs by using Google Slides; using Youtube in order to showcase their Green screen videos! As such, technology allowed me to invent new and innovative ways to engage students in meaningful, exciting learning experiences.
