Family Camp is a team effort! Read below to learn about the many ways you can help at camp!
Pre-Requirements:
You must have access to a computer with Internet access
You must have a Hawaii drivers license
You must have a credit card to pay for the site online (you will be reimbursed).
Prior to Permit Reservation Night
Create an eHawaii.gov online account for yourself: https://login.ehawaii.gov

Permit Reservation Night (July 29, 11:45 pm till July 30, 1:00 am)
July 29th at 11:45 pm: Be awake for roll call, login and be ready for reservations at the stroke of 12:00am (midnight).
You'll need to be up till about 1:00am
Carts are available to help with transporting!
Option A: Meet at Church at 11:30am
11:30 am: Meet at GFHI Church to help load the Uhaul.
Be on time.
It doesn't take long to do, but there is a lot of heavy lifting.
Option B: Meet at the Campsite at 1:00pm
1:00 pm: Meet at the campsite to help with setup. It is important to be there at this time to help unload the 20x30 tent poles and setup the main tent area first.

Kids can be helpful too! There are also many "little" things that even young children can carry.

GENERAL INFO:
Don’t pay for your camp fee. Save your receipt. You’ll get reimbursed and will deduct what you owe for your camp fee
Basic pots, pans, kitchen knives, ladles, tongs etc are available for use.
Don’t need to purchase white rice, but let me know if rice is needed for your meal
Propane grill, basic pots, pans, cooking and serving utensils available.
Basic paper plates/bowls, napkins, utensils are provided. If you need something specific, please let us know.
BEFORE CAMP:
Set the menu 2 weeks prior to camp.
You will also be given a budget to work within.
You will be reimbursed for the cost of your meal.
Plan and shop for your meal ingredients. Ensure there's enough food for everyone.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT CAMP:
Bring all ingredients needed to cook your meal in your own chilled cooler.
Be prepared to use that cooler to store leftovers as needed.
ASSIGNED MEAL:
Cook/prepare the meal at camp. You will have help cooking and cleaning at camp.

Help a family that has volunteered to cook a meal by helping them on the day of the assigned meal day.
Find out who you are helping ahead of time to coordinate the time you will be meeting to get started. You will be asked to help with the entire cooking and cleaning process, so please stick around to help them for the entire meal.
PREP: Prep the meal (slice fruit, crack eggs, etc.)
COOK: Cook the meal at camp
CLEAN: Put away all leftover food and wash all dishes
You will sign up for Kitchen Duty when you arrive at camp.
Stay at camp till Monday Morning or come back to camp by 7:30am on Monday to help: Break down the 20x30 tents, shower tent, Kitchen area and load everything into the Uhaul. Follow the Uhaul back at church to put things away. The estimated time to leave camp would be around 10 AM.
