Greetings Friend,
I have known Dan for upwards of 20-years. I offered to write this section for him, to share with you the wonderfully talented man that I know.
Dan Pullen has had a vast career in the food and beverage industry, starting with growing up in a farm to table homestead in Fairbanks Alaska. Learning to bake from multi-generational sourdough for weekly bread made from ground wheat berries and other grains. The growing season in Alaska is remarkably short but their prolific home garden produced the majority of fresh veggies and fruits needed for the long winters, canning, pickling, freeze-drying and storing. At age 13 he started cooking, serving and even managing at a local tourist restaurant in town that took him through his high school and college years. This early start gave Dan the foundation to take off across the world cooking on mega yachts for 11 years, cooking and serving some of the most recognizable personalities and moguls in the world traveling to over 60 countries and as many island groups. Dan excelled in this environment and learned to cook foods from many distinct culinary backgrounds utilizing all types of ingredients and techniques from land to sea.
Now, having settled in Colorado Dan has started a gluten-free baking company that has been growing over the past 4 years. Serving primarily the Boulder County area in coffee shops, restaurants, and markets, his goal is to serve the finest, freshest local foods, meats, and vegetables available for distinguishing palettes and special events. Dan utilizes organics when available and only whole ingredients. His experience lends itself to all types of events, from spring soirees and summer BBQs, with long slow-roasted meats from his smoker, to more formal affairs with full china service plated for you and your guests.
