And from then on, she would show hostility towards Danny as she attempts to contain both the hurt and the hate that she feels, while barely controlling her urges to waste him for "betraying" her. All of this would bring her ever closer to her mentor in Vlad as she continues to hunt ghosts in order to vent out all of her frustrations. But would she really be happy with this path she is taking? The answer is no, as I envision her going through her own trials and tribulations over whether she is truly doing the right thing, if she can discover that not all ghosts are evil as she blindly judges them to be, and if she herself has legit changed from the selfish person she used to be. This could be the sort of ammo the ghosts she encounters need to point out to her, right to her face, that the way she treats ghosts is no different from the way she treated humans her whole life. "You haven't changed, Valerie Gray, the only thing you've changed are your targets." I envision an episode where she faces Desiree, and the wishing ghost tempts her -- similar to the scene from Disney's The Princess and the Frog -- with regaining her old social status back, a better life for her and her father, and to become widely praised as the ghost hunting hero in all of Amity Park, all she has to do is make that wish happen and subsequently give Desiree the strength needed to destroy Danny. That would be the ultimate test of Valerie's character and what path she would take onwards. (She makes the right call in rejecting the offer, capturing her, and saving Danny from her revenge scheme ofc)
