Kelsey Cole serves as the President of Denver Celiacs, bringing passion and personal experience to her role. Originally from Galena, Illinois, she moved to Colorado in 2012 to pursue her undergraduate degree in education and has since made it her home. Diagnosed with celiac disease in 2018 after years of unexplained symptoms, Kelsey understands the challenges of navigating a new diagnosis. In 2020, she founded the Celiac Collective of Denver Metro (formerly Celiac Sisters of Denver Metro) to create a supportive community for those affected by celiac disease. Professionally, Kelsey works as a Division Clinical Education Operations Supervisor for HCA Healthcare/HealthONE. She resides in Aurora with her partner and their dog, Tilly, and enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, and exploring local gluten-free eateries.
Emily Krizmanich is the Vice President and Membership Director of Denver Celiacs. A Colorado native from a small mountain town, she now lives in Littleton with her partner and rescue dog. Emily holds degrees in International Affairs and Anthropology from CU Boulder and a master's in International Development and Global Health from the University of Denver. Diagnosed with celiac disease in 2016 during her time at CU, she faced challenges in obtaining a diagnosis and finding the right nutritional guidance. Her personal journey fuels her commitment to supporting others in the gluten-free community. Emily currently works for a nonprofit focused on community health and enjoys baking, cooking, and discovering new gluten-free dining options.
