I am a trained economist from Germany and China. My research topics include the dark side of human behavior, human and labor rights, and political economics in non-democratic regimes. I have witnessed how humans can treat each other so kindly or badly, and I believe that most social scientists enjoy studying the positive side of human behavior. However, to response the 'Zeitgeist' and challenges of our contemporary world, we must develop a deeper understanding of the dark side of humanity. Although exploitation and crime are common, we still lack a deep understanding of these behaviors.

I prefer data-driven and applied microeconomic approaches, but I also recognize the value of qualitative and anthropological materials. Only mixed methods can reveal the essence of economy. Click here to know more about me.

I am currently a PhD student in Economics in Germany. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Finance in China and my Master's degree in Economics in Germany.
