Huw Horgan
Dr Huw Horgan's research uses field geophysical methods to investigate the flow of glaciers, ice sheets, and ice shelves. By examining the components of the cryosphere that can result in rapid changes, he aims to contribute to community efforts to better determine future sea level. His studies address the distribution of water and deformable sediment beneath ice streams, processes at the transition between ice sheets and ice shelves, and the identification of high-value drilling targets for glaciological and paleoclimate studies.
