Getting Salty with Cilsick started as a challenge with my students. I had starting making short videos on marine topics and they suggesting that I needed a YouTube channel. But they said I needed a creative name, so I challenged them to come up with the name. They spent weeks discussing it in and out of class and after the titles had been submitted we voted and that is how Getting Salty with Cilsick got started.
