What is PPE?

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is gear worn by healthcare providers while caring for patients with contagious diseases including COVID-19. PPE allows healthcare providers to appropriately protect themselves from disease while keeping patients safe.

PPE includes:

N95 respirator masks*

Gowns

Surgical masks

Sterile gloves

Safety goggles

Face shields
