If elected to office, I pledge to examine each and every issue placed before the board with the best interests of constituents in mind. As unfamiliar topics arise, I pledge to research and consult experts to make the best possible decision for our community. As an educator, I have chosen a profession based on learning, and I too, am a life-long learner.
For Frederick County, I envision a balanced budget that meets the needs of our growing community.
Open communication and transparency are paramount to success. If elected, I will always be available to discuss concerns with constituents.
To provide an excellent education for all students, we must be proactive rather than reactive when allocating funds to the school division.
Our growing community needs a fully trained and equipped police force to keep our community strong and crime-free.
As an independent, I am not answerable to anyone except the constituents of Shawnee. As a true moderate, I believe political party affiliations cause polarization and are often a barrier to progress and success. I want Frederick County to continue to grow and thrive without being limited by the two-party system.
The decisions of our local government officials affect our lives on a daily basis more than any other level of government. In addition to making ordinances, the individuals on the Board of Supervisors are responsible for local taxes and the budget of the county rendering them solely responsible for the allocation of funds for public services such as police, fire and rescue, schools, zoning, roads and more.
