GETDOWN is American DJ Jake Long, whose experience in electronic dance music spans over 25 years. Everything started for him in the music scene in his hometown of Missoula Montana in the late 90’s playing music out with his brother at local parties and events. Moving to Seattle in 2000 built his passion for the underground music scene exploring the many clubs and warehouse parties in the area. Inspired in the early years by progressive house DJs such as John Digweed and Sasha ignited his creative DJing styles. After moving back to his hometown in the mid-2000s, he began putting sound and lighting stages together for Montana’s homegrown mountain party scene. His company, Elevation Productions, was born and launched his career in audio engineering and lighting design. Catching a GETDOWN set will move your body with intricate and energetic tracks in indie dance, organic house, progressive, sprinkled with break beats and funk. He is a key member of Starlight Reunion, a community focused party label and art collective that thrives on closing the gap between artist and spectators through DJ sets, multimedia and interactive experiences.
