Get a Clue AZ started with a simple idea: make fundraising more fun.
In 2019, Jeanette Cowles (formerly Davis) created her first interactive whodunnit event as a volunteer for Canyon Del Oro Project Graduation, looking for a creative way to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the organization. What started as one event quickly became something much bigger. Over the years, these original mystery experiences raised more than $21,000.
After her time with Project Graduation came to an end, the mystery continued with a new home at Friends of the Pima County Library, where Jeanette created another immersive whodunnit experience to help raise funds and awareness in support of the library and its programs.
For seven years, each mystery has been a labor of love—often taking nearly a full year to create, from developing an original storyline and characters to designing clues, interactive experiences, décor, food, entertainment, and all the little details that make guests feel like they’ve stepped inside the mystery.
What began as a way to help local nonprofits raise money is evolving into something the whole community can enjoy.
Get a Clue AZ is hoping to become a business— you won't have to wait for an annual fundraiser to get your mystery fix.
We're reimagining what we've done for the past seven years and building something new, exciting, and completely our own. There will be mysteries to solve, clues to uncover, stories to step into, and plenty of surprises along the way.
We're changing everything.
And honestly… we can't wait to show you what we can pull off.
Stay tuned. The mystery is just beginning. 🔎🕵️♀️
