Get Your Lost Phone ("the App") is developed by ALAL. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your data and is applicable to users worldwide.
Language
The App automatically displays in the language configured on your device. The following languages are supported: English, Hindi, and 8 additional regional languages. No language preference data is collected or stored.
Data Collected
The App collects the following data solely on the device owner's behalf for anti-theft and phone-finding purposes:
Device location (GPS coordinates)
Front camera photos of unauthorized users
SIM card status and carrier information
Device network information (IP address, WiFi network name)
Device identifiers (Android ID)
Microphone audio (processed locally on device only — never recorded or transmitted)
How Data Is Used
All collected data is sent exclusively to the phone numbers and email address configured by the device owner. The developer does not collect, store, process or have access to any user data at any time. No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind is performed.
Microphone access is used exclusively for the optional Clap to Find feature — to detect a double hand clap sound pattern and ring the phone at full volume when it is lost nearby. No audio is ever recorded, stored or transmitted. All audio processing happens entirely on the device in real time.
Data Storage
No data is stored on any server controlled by the developer. Intruder photos are temporarily hosted on ImgBB (imgbb.com) for 1 hour and automatically deleted thereafter. Location data is transmitted via SMS and email directly to the device owner. Audio data from the microphone is never stored anywhere.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party service:
ImgBB (imgbb.com) — used to temporarily host intruder photos for 1 hour. ImgBB's privacy policy is available at https://imgbb.com/privacy
Permissions Used
Camera — to photograph unauthorized users attempting to access the device
Location — to report the device's GPS location to the owner, including in the background when the app is closed
SMS — to send theft alerts to the owner's trusted phone numbers
Phone State — to detect SIM card changes and carrier information
Internet — to send email alerts and upload intruder photos
Microphone — used only for the optional Clap to Find feature to detect double clap pattern locally on device. Audio is never recorded or transmitted. This permission is only active when the feature is enabled by the user.
Device Administrator — to prevent unauthorized uninstallation of the app
Optional Features
The Clap to Find feature is optional and disabled by default. It requires microphone permission which is requested only when the user enables this feature. The user can disable this feature at any time from within the app, which immediately stops all microphone access.
International Users
This App is available worldwide. All data processing happens locally on the device and is transmitted directly to the email address and phone numbers configured by the device owner. No data is transmitted to servers outside the user's control except for temporary photo hosting via ImgBB.
Children's Privacy
This App is not directed at children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Data Deletion
To delete all data associated with the App, uninstall the App from your device. Any photos temporarily hosted on ImgBB are automatically deleted after 1 hour. No other data is stored by the developer.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at the URL where this policy is published. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
