2025 Holiday Party

We met! We ate well! We talked books! We gifted books! We had fun!

Our 2nd Annual Holiday Party took place on Wednesday December 3rd with 15 of our members in attendance! We were joined by Adrienne Lamb and David Bajer with CBC Edmonton, where they interviewed club members and filmed parts of our party. (They were so kind and amazing, made all of us feel at ease when interviewed; and they brought us some fun swag as a door prize!)

Field Trip

On May 25th, a group of Get Lit members took a field trip to Edmonton! The trip began with brunch at Tiramisu Bistro. Following that, our main attraction; romance book store "The Book Boudoir!" Several books went home with us that day! We completed our day next door with yummy locally made ice cream!

Movie Night

On June 25th, a group of Get Lit members met at the library for a viewing of the film "Romancing the Stone". The perfect movie for a romance book club, it's main character played by Kathleen Turner is a romance book author who finds herself on an unexpected adventure with a real-life hero similar to her book heros, played by Michael Douglas. Thanks to Librarian Ariel for hosting and providing us with popcorn!

2024 Holiday Party

Our December Meeting turned into a Holiday Party! A potluck supper, book gift exchange and selection of next years topics ensued! Twas' a fun evening had by all!
