ABOUT US 

• R.N.C. Arts, J.D.B. Commerce, and N.S.C. Science College, Nasik Road was established in 1963 with a view to providing education to the student community in Nasik Road and its vicinity.

• To support this matter the college, Library was started during the same year with a small collection of books and started to support various programmers of the college. Now the Library has a collection of 100300+ Senior college and  15012+ Junior college books on various subjects and there for plays an important role in this direction. 

• The library is centrally located in the campus which located an area of 7000 sq.ft. construction. The library is well ventilated with adequate facilities.

• The college regularly subscribes Journals, Magazine and Periodicals.There are Ten Computers available in the library and purchased Library Manager 2.0 software which is used for all Library operations.

• The Library is attached with a Reading Hall with the seating capacity of around 100 students. 

• The Library also provides a separate reference section along with independent seating arrangement. The library also provides separate Internet facility it help the students, teachers.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION OF LIBRARY

It includes the classification and cataloging of the books in the Library. Books are classified according to D.D.C. System of 19th editions. For cataloging CCC method is applied with same local variations. Catalogue cards are made according to author and title.

QUANTUM OF WORK (TECHNICAL) –

The following quantum of works is conducted in the library-

1) Acquisition.

2) Accessioning Newly purchased books.

3) Processing of books.

4) Classification. (Dewey’s Decimal Classification Scheme Used for classification)

5) Cataloguing :- Catalogue card, OPAC 

6) To maintain all types of registers & files.

7) Library Automation.

         Our college library provides following services: -

11) Provides Braille resources to the Visually Challenged students & Staff.
