Privacy Policy for GermanPro

GermanPro respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how GermanPro handles data when you use the app.
1. No account or sign-in
GermanPro does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal account information.
2. No ads, analytics, or tracking
GermanPro does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or tracking SDKs.
GermanPro does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or advertising identifiers.
3. Local app data
GermanPro stores learning progress, app settings, learned and difficult vocabulary, and user-added vocabulary locally on your device.
This data is used only to provide app functionality, such as progress tracking, review sessions, and continuing from where you stopped.
GermanPro does not send this local app data to a GermanPro server.
Cloud backup is disabled for GermanPro app data.
You can delete this local data by clearing the app data from your device settings or uninstalling the app.
4. Microphone and speaking practice
GermanPro requests microphone permission only when you use speaking practice.
Speaking practice uses Android speech recognition services, such as SpeechRecognizer or RecognizerIntent, to convert your speech into text for checking your answer.
GermanPro does not save audio files.
GermanPro does not upload audio to a GermanPro server.
Depending on your device settings and the speech recognition engine available on your device, the Android or Google speech recognition service may process audio to provide speech-to-text functionality.
5. Internet access
GermanPro does not request the Android INTERNET permission.
6. Data sharing
GermanPro does not sell personal data.
GermanPro does not share your local learning progress, settings, or vocabulary data with third parties.
For speech recognition, audio processing may be handled by the Android or Google speech recognition service available on the user’s device.
7. Data retention and deletion
GermanPro stores local app data on your device for as long as the app remains installed and the app data is not cleared.
You can delete GermanPro’s local data at any time by clearing the app data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
8. Children
GermanPro is intended for general language-learning use and is not specifically directed at children.
9. Data deletion requests
GermanPro does not create user accounts and does not store user data on a GermanPro server.
Learning progress, settings, learned and difficult vocabulary, and user-added vocabulary are stored locally on your device.
You can delete this local app data at any time by:
- opening Android Settings,
- going to Apps,
- selecting GermanPro,
- opening Storage,
- choosing Clear data,
or by uninstalling GermanPro from your device.
GermanPro does not save audio files from speaking practice. If speech recognition is processed by the Android or Google speech recognition service on your device, that processing is handled by the speech recognition provider and not by a GermanPro server.
