Hello! My name is Renee Gering and this will be my fifth year teaching. My first two years I spent teaching fifth grade in Spartanburg County. This will be my third year here at Skyland teaching second grade and I could not be more excited. I am originally from the the Southern Pennsylvania/ Northern Maryland area, but am so glad my journey has brought me here to Greenville!

I graduated from the University of Charleston in West Virginia in 2021. I received a dual bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Here in South Carolina, I am certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Special Education. While at UC, I also played lacrosse!

I also am a huge traveler! This past summer I went on a two week trip to Egypt & Greece with my mom and sister. I have also been to several places all over the U.S. I love experiencing a new city!
