About Me

Hello! My name is Renee Gering and this will be my sixth year teaching. My first two years I spent teaching fifth grade in Spartanburg County. This will be my fourth year here at Skyland teaching second grade and I could not be more excited. I am originally from the the Southern Pennsylvania/ Northern Maryland area, but am so glad my journey has brought me here to Greenville! 

I graduated from the University of Charleston in West Virginia in 2021. I received a dual bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Here in South Carolina, I am certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Special Education. While at UC, I also played lacrosse! I finished my Master's of Education in Literacy through American College of Education in November of 2024.

Outside of school, you can find me working out, cooking, baking, traveling or spending time with my fiancé, Ethan! We are so excited for our wedding in March of 2027. I can't wait to be Mrs. Crawford! At home, we have a sweet kitten, Mali, and puppy, Kora.
