This Privacy Policy governs the use of the "GPS Map Camera" mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") developed by Dp Solutions.
The Application is designed to allow users to capture photographs and overlay GPS map coordinates, addresses, date, time, and weather information directly onto the images. All image processing, data overlay, and storage operations are executed locally on the user's mobile device.
We are committed to protecting user privacy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how the Application accesses, uses, and processes information.
ABOUT THE APPLICATION
The GPS Map Camera mobile application is a utility tool designed to help users capture photos stamped with real-time location details. When capturing images, the Application embeds GPS data (including latitude, longitude, altitude, location accuracy, human-readable address, date-time stamp, and weather metrics) on the image file. This helps users log their photography locations for documentation, site verification, travel memory, and record-keeping. The Application processes all media and location services locally on the user's mobile device.
1. SENSITIVE DEVICE PERMISSIONS & DATA PROCESSING
To provide the core functionalities of the Application, we require access to the following sensitive permissions on your mobile device. These permissions are only accessed when the Application is running in the foreground:
A. Camera Access
Purpose: The Application requires camera access to allow you to take photographs.
Processing: Photo capturing, rendering, and applying map/text watermark overlays are performed entirely locally on your device. The raw or processed images are never transmitted to our servers.
B. Location Access (Foreground Only)
Purpose: We request access to your device's precise location (GPS and network-based) to support the geotagging features. This allows the Application to obtain coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude, and accuracy) and overlay them onto your photos.
Third-Party Transmission: To resolve your coordinates into a human-readable address, display map overlays, and obtain local weather information, location data is transmitted via secure HTTPS connections to trusted third-party providers:
Native Geocoding Services (Google Play Services / Android Geocoder on Android devices, and Apple CLGeocoder on iOS devices) to convert GPS coordinates into human-readable addresses.
OpenStreetMap & Nominatim (for open-source map display and fallback geocoding services).
Open-Meteo API (for localized weather details such as temperature, relative humidity, pressure, and wind speed).
Retention: We do not track, collect, or store your location history on any server.
C. Storage & Media Access
Purpose: We require read and write permissions to your device's external storage/media gallery.
Processing: This permission is used locally to save your captured, geotagged photographs to your phone's photo library and to read them for display within the Application's built-in gallery.
2. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION AND SHARING
Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, billing details, or social media identifiers) to our servers.
No Backend Server: We do not maintain any backend database or servers to collect or store user files, location history, or photos.
Email Support: If you contact us via email for support or bug reports, we will use your provided email address and communication history solely to resolve your request. This information is never shared, sold, or rented to third parties.
3. THIRD-PARTY SDKS AND SERVICES
To display maps, resolve coordinates into addresses, and fetch weather information, the Application utilizes standard platform services and public APIs (including Google Services, OpenStreetMap, and Open-Meteo). These services process request-specific parameters (such as GPS coordinates) solely to return the requested map tiles, addresses, or weather data, in accordance with their respective service terms and privacy stand
4. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION POLICY
Local Data: All photos and metadata JSON files are stored locally on your device in the application documents directory and your phone's photo gallery.
Deletion: You can delete individual photos or all app data at any time directly through the Application's gallery or by using your device's storage management settings.
Server Data: Since we do not collect or store any user data on our servers, we do not have any user data to delete. If you have sent us support emails and wish for them to be permanently deleted, please contact us at neelpansheriya29@gmail.com and we will immediately purge the email records.
5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Application does not knowingly collect, request, or target personal information from children under the age of 13 If we learn that we have received personal information from a child, we will delete that information immediately.
6. NO DATA DISCLOSURE
Since the Application operates entirely locally on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit any user data or photographs to our servers, we do not possess any user data. Consequently, we do not share, disclose, or transfer any user information to third parties, law enforcement, or governmental authorities under any circumstances.
7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to align with new legal requirements or Google Play policy updates. We advise you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
