Research on Ground Source Heat Pump system (GSHP): Energy pile and Energy slab
We are conducting research on the ground heat exchangers used in GSHP system. Specifically, we are focusing on Energy Piles and Energy Slabs that utilize civil structures to induce heat exchange with the ground. For this research, we employ various methods such as field testing, laboratory experiments, numerical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
Study on Soft Ground Characteristics in Saemangeum Using AI:
This research focuses on studying the characteristics of soft ground in Saemangeum using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. Saemangeum is a coastal wetland located on the western coast of the Korean Peninsula, known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant natural resources. However, the ground in Saemangeum has weak characteristics, posing challenges for land use and infrastructure development. The research utilizes AI technology to analyze and predict the characteristics of the ground in Saemangeum, proposing appropriate measures and designs to address these challenges.
Development of Numerical Models for Underwater Data Centers
This research aims to develop numerical models using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate the operation and performance of underwater data centers. Underwater data centers are operated in marine environments and pose unique challenges compared to traditional land-based data centers. The research utilizes CFD techniques to model and analyze fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and pressure within underwater data centers, exploring ways to enhance their performance and improve energy efficiency.
