I am currently a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in Economics at Liverpool Hope University, UK, and a co-organiser of the International AMEF conference.
My research focuses on Economic Growth and Development, with particular emphasis on their relationship with international trade, financial development, and reforms, among others. Beyond this core focus, my work extends to a broad range of topics, addressing diverse real-world challenges.
During my previous employment at the University of Cyprus, I expanded my research interests to Experimental Economics, co-coordinated the Laboratory for Experimental Economics of the University of Cyprus (UCY LExEcon), and was actively involved in designing and conducting economic experiments.
During the period 2021-2024, I was responsible for conducting SHARE (in Cyprus) one of the biggest research infrastructures for studying the effects of health, social, economic and environmental policies over the life-course of European citizens and beyond. This experience opened new research directions related to labour markets and how policies respond to evolving economic conditions.
