I am an AI Engineer with 7 years of experience in France and the USA. Specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing (NLP), I build innovative solutions for real-world challenges. My skills include Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLM), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Python development, and Data manipulation.
At TheFork, a TripAdvisor scaleup company, I am leading the design and development of the core AI workflow powering an intelligent, agentic chatbot for context-aware, user-friendly restaurant recommendations. This involves integrating user-generated content into personalized retrieval and recommendation pipelines. I also ensure system robustness through effective LLM monitoring, observability, and evaluation, supporting reliable, scalable deployment.
Previously, as an AI Engineer at Acolad Group, a European leader in translation services, I helped define the company’s AI roadmap, contributing to strategic decisions and initiatives. I led the development of two impactful RAG and LLM applications: one improving the company’s translation post-editing process and a chatbot enabling internal document navigation; two AI-driven solutions delivering tangible impact. From concept to implementation, I ensured these solutions followed MLOps best practices for performance and scalability.
As the first hire and Founder ML Engineer at qlip.ai, a dynamic early-stage startup, I built its ML pipeline from scratch. I applied advanced NLP techniques to analyse podcast data, developed algorithms for punchline detection, topic modeling, and information extraction, and ran experiments to refine model performance. I translated the company’s vision into tested, user-driven solutions that supported the company’s early growth all while navigating the inherent constraints of a startup environment.
I hold a Ph.D. in AI from École Normale Supérieure, a Top-tier French academic institution. My doctoral research focused on leveraging machine learning to model the interplay between diversity and learnability in language.
Following my Ph.D., I joined Stanford University's Language and Cognition Lab in California as a Data Scientist, focusing on utilizing large-scale datasets to reverse-engineer the learning of diverse languages.
Alongside engineering, I teach AI and Data Science at OpenClassrooms and the École Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Vinci, mentoring students and professionals alike. I’m passionate about open science and making complex ideas accessible. My latest articles are available on the Blog.
