Georgia (GA) Land Surveyor Practice Course

About the Service:

The Georgia (GA) Land Surveyor Practice Course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to become a land surveyor in the state of Georgia. The course is taught by instructors who are licensed surveyors in the state of Georgia, and are active in their profession.

The course provides students with an introduction to the practice of surveying as it applies to real estate transactions in Georgia. Students will learn how to perform basic field work involved in the practice of surveying, including stakeout, monumentation, layout and staking, as well as other related activities. Students will also learn how to compute and document these tasks using electronic data collection equipment.

Students will be required to pass both written and practical exams at the end of this course provided by our partner institution, Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC), in order to be awarded certification as a Land Surveyor by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors (SBPELS).
