Georgia (GA) Acupuncturist Practice Course
A Georgia (GA) Acupuncturist license is required to practice acupuncture in the state of Georgia. To obtain a license, you must complete an accredited acupuncture program, pass the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) exam, and then apply for licensure through the Georgia Composite Board.
Requirements for Licensure
In order to obtain a Georgia (GA) Acupuncturist license, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Complete an accredited acupuncture program at an approved institution. The program must be at least 600 hours in length and no less than 12 months long. You may also apply if your program is at least 800 hours long but less than 12 months long; however, the board may require that you complete additional coursework before applying for licensure. Pass the NCCAOM exam administered by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs). This exam consists of three parts
