Registration Form/Tournament Rules

⚾ Tournament Overview

Dates: Father’s Day Weekend 2026
Cost: $450 per team
Includes: Umpire and 1 game ball per game
Lodging: No stay-to-play requirement

Refund Policy:

• 50% refund if 0 games are played
  
  

• 20% refund if 1 game is played
  
  

• No refund if 2 or more games are played
  
  

⏱ Game Format & Rules

Game Time Limit: 100 minutes (weather permitting)
Rosters & Insurance: Must be submitted before the first game
Rules: NFHS rules unless otherwise noted

Game Length:

• 9U–12U: 6 innings
  
  

• 13U & 15U: 7 innings (may be shortened due to time or weather)
  
  

Tie Rules:

• Pool play: Ties stand
  
  

• Bracket play: Texas Shootout
  
  

  • Last batter from previous inning starts on 2nd base
    
    

  • All batters begin with a 3-2 count
    
    

  • No outs
    
    

Home Team:

• Pool play: Coin flip
  
  

• Bracket play: Higher seed
  
  

Seeding Criteria:

1. Record
   
   

2. Head-to-head
   
   

3. Runs allowed
   
   

4. Run differential
   
   

Mercy Rule:

• 12 runs after 3 innings
  
  

• 10 runs after 4 innings
  
  

• 8 runs after 5 innings
  
  

Team Size:

• May start with 8 players
  
  

  • 9th spot = automatic out until filled
    
    

• May finish with 8 if no eligible subs
  
  

• Ejection (non-injury): Spot is an automatic out if no sub available
  
  

• Injury/illness: Skipped spot with no penalty
  
  

Equipment & Substitutions:

• Metal cleats: 15U only
  
  

• Pinch runner for catcher/pitcher allowed anytime
  
  

  • Use last out or player furthest from batting order
    
    

⚾ Pitching Rules

• 1 pitch = 1 inning
  
  

• No re-entry as pitcher in same game
  
  

Pitching Limits (9U–13U):

• Max 4 innings per game
  
  

• Max 8 innings per tournament
  
  

• Follow USA Smart Pitching Guidelines
  
  

HS Ages: Follow USA Smart Pitching Guidelines

Pitching Logs & Score Reporting:

• Home team reports to site director/concession
  
  

• Manager must sign off
  
  

• Over-pitching: Immediate removal + manager ejection
  
  

Mound Visits:

• Pitcher must be removed after 2nd charged trip
  
  

• No balk warnings
  
  

📝 Additional Notes

• Game Guarantee: Minimum of 2 games
  
  

• Friday Games: Only if necessary, starting at 5:30 PM
  
  

9U-Specific Rules:

• No dropped 3rd strike
  
  

• Lead-offs allowed
  
  

• No infield fly rule

• Balk Warnings per Ump Discretion

• Concessions available at all fields
  
  

• 1 game ball provided per game (teams supply extras if needed)

No foul language, alcohol, tobacco products, or smoking allowed.
Violators will be removed immediately.
