A Lifetime of Service: Dr. George C. Bradley's Journey

Dr. George C. Bradley's story is one of dedication, passion, and commitment to education. Born and raised in Florence, Dr. Bradley's journey in education began at Wilson High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. As a standout student and athlete, Dr. Bradley was named the Student of the Year in 1978, foreshadowing his future success in the field of education.


After graduating from Wilson High School, Dr. Bradley went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Math at S. C. State University. During his time at S. C. State, Dr. Bradley continued to excel, receiving recognition for his achievements both on and off the field. He was a key player in the university's football team, helping them achieve MEAC Championship titles in 1980, 1981, and 1982. His leadership skills were evident as he served as team captain and was recognized as All MEAC in his senior year.


Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. George C. Bradley continued his education, earning a Master of Science in Mathematics Education from S. C. State University and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration with a cognate in Research & Statistics from Iowa State University. His academic achievements were further recognized when he was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award by S. C. State University and the College of Human Services at Iowa State University.


Dr. George Bradley's career in education spans over two decades, during which he has held various teaching and administrative positions at colleges and universities across the country. He has authored numerous articles and books on education, focusing on research of disparities in achievement between African American and white students in South Carolina.


In 2007, George C. Bradley was named president of Paine University in Augusta, Georgia, a position he has held with distinction. His commitment to education and his dedication to serving the community have earned him accolades and recognition from the South Carolina Legislature and various organizations.


Today, Dr. George Bradley continues to be a leading voice in education, advocating for reforms that will make education more accessible and affordable for all. Through his work with The Bradley Group LLC, Dr. Bradley consults with organizations and individuals on contemporary issues in education, statistical analysis, and strategic planning.
