GeoPunch is designed for company employees to manage daily attendance and assigned tasks.
We may collect the following information when you use the app:
Name
Employee ID
Role-based access details (e.g., employee, manager, admin)
Login credentials (securely stored)
GeoPunch collects location data to support attendance and task tracking features.
We collect location data in the following scenarios:
Check-in and Check-out:
Location is captured to validate whether the user is within the office premises (within a 50-meter radius).
Break Tracking:
Location is used to calculate break time when the user moves outside the defined office radius.
Task Attendance:
Location is captured during task check-in and check-out, but location validation is not enforced for task attendance.
📌 Location data is collected only during attendance or task-related actions and not continuously in the background.
During task attendance check-out, users may optionally capture and upload a photo.
Photos are used only for task verification purposes.
When the internet is unavailable, attendance and location data may be stored temporarily on the device.
The data is automatically synced once the device is back online.
We use the collected information to:
Track daily attendance (check-in, check-out, and breaks)
Validate office location during attendance
Manage task attendance and task completion
Support task creation, assignment, rejection, and reassignment
Enable role-based access and permissions
Improve app performance and reliability
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or location data to third parties.
Your data may be shared only:
With authorized company administrators using GeoPunch
When required by law or legal processes
We take appropriate security measures to protect your data, including:
Secure authentication
Role-based access control
Restricted access to sensitive information
However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
GeoPunch may request the following permissions:
Location Permission: For attendance validation and break calculation
Camera Permission: To capture photos during task check-out
You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. However, some features may not function correctly if permissions are denied.
We retain user data only for as long as it is required for:
Attendance and task tracking
Company records and compliance
Data retention policies may vary based on company requirements.
GeoPunch is intended for company employees only and is not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
