Title : The Price of Pilgrimage: Pollution in Sacred Peaks

​This photograph, captured at Adam's Peak (Sri Pada), highlights the alarming impact of human activity on high-altitude ecosystems. Despite being a sacred biological hotspot, the accumulation of non-biodegradable waste poses a severe threat to local biodiversity and water sources. This visual narrative serves as a powerful call for environmental responsibility and sustainable tourism, illustrating the urgent need to preserve our natural heritage from the irreversible changes caused by plastic pollution.

Title : The Broken Canopy - බිදුණු වියන

This photograph depicts tall, fully grown plants whose leaves have withered and fallen, leaving the plant canopy bare. The photograph was taken in February 2025 using a mobile phone, and within it lies an embedded story.

That story is this — just as the plant canopy, which exists to protect and sustain plant life, is being destroyed in the face of climate change, this photograph symbolises the destruction of the ozone layer — one of the most pressing issues of the modern world.

මෙම ඡායාරූපය මගින් නිරූපණය වනුයේ ඉතා උස්ව වර්ධනය වූ ශාකයන්වල  ශාකපත්‍ර සිදී ගොස් ශාක වියන අහිමි වූ ඡායාරූපයක් වෙයි. මා මෙම ඡායාරූපය 2025 වර්ෂයේ පෙබරවාරි මස ජංගම දුරකථනයක් ආධාරයෙන් ලබාගත් අතර මෙම ඡායාරූපය තුළින් ගැබ්ගත් කතාවක් ඡායාරූපය අභ්‍යන්තරයේ  පවතිනු ලබයි.

එනම් ශාකයන්ගේ ආරක්ෂාව හා පැවැත්ම උදෙසා  පවතින ශාක වියන  දේශගුණ විපර්යාස හමුවේ විනාශයට පත්වනවා මෙන්  වර්තමාන ලෝකයේ කාලීන ගැටලුවක්ව පවතින ඕසෝන් ස්ථරය විනාශ වී යාම මෙම ඡායාරූපය තුළින් නිරූපණය වේ.
