Our two main activites at the moment are 1) working at a hosting agreement, 2) defining editorial workflow. It was suggested and agreed among the entire board as well as the editorial commission that Alice Lefebvre will take over the role as EiC.

BIG NEWS

We have big news on the cooperation side: Geomorphica is now officially supported by the International Association of Geomorphologists! Our collaboration involves a financial support agreement, a key component required to move from the planning stages to the launching stage.

Key outcomes: (1) Will email everyone who has approached us through the Google Form to recruit more volunteers for the journal's commissions. (2) Still waiting from potential funders to confirm support for the initiative. (3) Geomorphica will be presenting at EGU (https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU22/EGU22-3910.html). (4) We have identified a host and are currently working with them to set up the journal and everything associated with it. (5) Twitter profile updated to include new logo and follower count has increased substantially since we started following everyone back.

The entries should include:

- 1 text logo where the name GEOMORPHICA is clearly legible

- 1 logo symbol (e.g. for social media profiles) that can easily be associated with the text logo

The text logo and logo symbol should have a font style and color scheme that are appealing and inclusive and reflect the diversity within our community.

Vision Statement:

GEOMORPHICA is a Diamond Open Access Journal that promotes academic discourse and disseminates research results pertaining to all aspects of geomorphology, including, but not limited to, landscapes and landforms, earth and other planetary surface and near-surface processes, and the mechanisms, dynamics, and timescales pertaining to those processes. Diamond Open Access journals are free for all to read, without subscriptions, and do not charge article processing fees to authors.
