Hi, I'm Ryan

I've been creating content on YouTube since 2019. I create weekly content about ships, primarily in World of Warships. Videos come out weekly on Mondays at 2pm Eastern.

I used to be active in the Thomas and Friends space on YouTube. However, I left that community in February 2024.

Logo History

I will be the first to admit the the first logo I ever used was just an image I found. However, I decided later it would be better to switch it to that same R image but on Ryan from T&F. I used him up through adopting the RWS-style logo, when I swapped him with my beloved USS Salem. After only a few weeks of having Salem in the logo, I changed the color scheme and font to be more original.

SDF-300's logo was designed by my partner on that channel, Pap. It is of an original character of his.

Channel History

I created this channel back in 2019, on July 28th. My first video, linked here, was uploaded on the same day. It featured me using the light freighter (pictured) in Dynamic Ship Simulator III (DSS 3).

How to invade a country

My 4th video, How to Rise of Nations: Invading a Country, was uploaded on August 17th. It has 38,600 views as of January 2026.

First custom thumbnAIL

A big milestone was my first custom thumbnail, pictured to the right. It was a simple screenshot of submarine USS Nautilus SSN-571 in DSS 3. The video it was for, linked here, was a tour of the boat. It was uploaded on June 25th 2021.

First wows video

My by-far favorite game, World of Warships, was impossible for me to make videos for, as I had not figured out how to screen record until September 2021. The thumbnail is a screenshot of USS Baltimore in the Dunkirk port, and the video is 18 seconds of the WoWs pre-game loading screen. At the time, it featured tier 10 German submarine U-2501 and tier 8 US submarine Salmon.

first edited video

My first edited video was a spooky one, uploaded on July 27th 2022, a day before the channel's 3rd birthday. It depicted a scene from Duncan Gets Spooked.

The infamous tunnel

I kinda regret posting this... but it became popular, so here we are. The first time I was able to jump on a meme was the Peter Sam Tunnel meme, back when I was active in the Thomas and Friends community. After uploading on August 3rd 2022, it quickly got thousands of views. As of January 2026, it sits at 35,700 views.

The start of an era

The first video I made in my most-used format, the MV (Music Videos) series, was uploaded on August 8th 2022. It was a simple collection of clips from Streamlined put to the song Western Panorama.

5 Years ON youtube

This was my first fully-scripted video. It showcased the first 5 years of the channel's life, from 2019 to 2024.

Gord Tribute - 2 years on

For the 2nd anniversary of Gordon Lightfoot's passing on May 1st 2025, I did an MV to a song from his final album, released in 2020: Return Into Dust. Fitting, isn't it?

6 years ON youtube

For the 6th anniversary, I filmed an innovative (for me, at least) music video in WoWs featuring my beloved USS Salem.

New Series

I created a new series in 2025, 10 Minutes With! It is just as the title says, it allows you to spend 10 minutes with a ship or place. It is focused on ambience.

WoWs' 10th birthday

My favorite game turned 10 years old on September 23rd, 2025. Of course I had to do a video for the occasion!

50th Anniversary of the fitz

November 10th 2025 marked 50 years since legendary laker Edmund Fitzgerald sank. I made this video in her memory.

3 Years Since LIGHTFOOT

May 1st, 2026, marked the 3rd anniversary of the passing of my favorite singer/songwriter, Gordon Lightfoot. I honored him here.
