Not only do I agree 100% with the mission, I also agree that we should develop student-athletes at Georgia Southern University to become global leaders who are equipped with the tools to be successful in life after sport.
What an experience it was managing the community outreach program for Zizhu Elementary School. Together we worked to find teaching activities that bridged the cultural and language gaps, and created an active learning environment for these students. It was a blast!
Shanghai – China’s largest and most cosmopolitan city was the focus of this four week course exploring urbanization processes and trends in the context of historic, contemporary forces of globalization. Through the transdisciplinary lenses of geography, sociology, public health, urban planning, ecological and environmental studies, students investigated the pace and scale of urbanization in China.
